TKD Standard TCXO oscillators combine a quartz resonator with temperature compensation circuitry to deliver stable frequency over temperature. Offering ±2.5 ppm stability in compact 1612–3225 packages, they are ideal for GPS, telecom and precision instrumentation.
A temperature sensor and compensation network correct the crystal's natural frequency drift, holding output ±2.5 ppm across the rated range.
Initial calibration, temperature hysteresis and aging all add to frequency error; standard TCXOs balance these to meet GPS and telecom holdover needs.
Factory trimming at multiple temperature points ensures the compensation curve matches each device, giving consistent, repeatable accuracy from unit to unit.
Check the stability grade and operating temperature range against the system budget; tighter grades cost more but save margin in multi-constellation GNSS and small-cell designs.
